Hopeless Wanderer

July 14, 2015

With the current very fickle British weather (half summer heat wave, half thunder storm) the plants have gone a bit wild down the bottom of our garden, turning it into our own little forest. Not that I mind of course, I'd happily spend all day down here reading books, twirling in lace dresses and picking elderberries when they finally ripen.

Today's outfit is my most whimsical and bohemian to date I think! I found this midi lace dress from Boohoo (although looking at it, it could very well be from Free People) and fell in love with the delicate embroidery and off the shoulder bell sleeves. Despite it's dreamy nature, it stayed in my wardrobe for a good month or so before I actually wore it out because I just couldn't decide how to wear it without looking like a wedding escapee!
I finally decided to toughen up the outfit with all black accessories- my trusty black fedora and riding boots did the trick- before a few little hair plaits and my necklace from Nepal for an easy going summer look.
