Hello Twenty Fifteen!

By December 29, 2014 , , ,

2 days left of 2014?! Where did the time go? This year has been one of my best, with so much changing and happening. It was the year I did my GCSE's, started college, did a 3 week summer course of NCS, made some amazing friends, got featured in an online magazine and also stared contributing recipes and posts to Whim Online Magazine's website. I've probably changed the most this year, from being a generally shy and quiet person terrified of meeting new people, to developing my own style, contributing to twitter chats and now not minding too much if I don't know anyone in the room.
I've decided I'm going to make 2015 even better, starting with  posting some goals- I'm refusing to call the resolutions as everyone knows resolutions never last- so I can tick them off throughout the year!
~Goals/Bucket List for 2015~
Learn to drive (and pass my driving test!)
Start making my own clothes
Redecorate my room
Create an art portfolio
Work on my car and start entering classic car shows
Write an E-book
Have a total of 100 items in my vintage shop (and aiming for 100 sales by the end of the year)
Read at least 15 books
Do work experience with a photographer or magazine
Watch Pan and Paper Towns in the cinema
Go to a gig/music event
See the Alexander McQueen Savage Beauty Collection in London
Drink at least 1L of water a day
Go on a day long road trip without planning where I'm going
Volunteer
Travel by hot air balloon

Build up a following of 500 on Bloglovin'
Purchase a custom domain name for my blog
Post more regularly- at least twice a week, every Wednesday and Saturday
Keep improving my photography and writing
Set up some reflectors and photo props
Work with more brands and attend a blogger event
What are your goals for 2015? I'd love to see if you've done a post with your hopes for the new year!

P.S. my photo has made it into the semi-finals of a competition to be Whim's cover photo, so if you have a moment to vote for me by clicking here and 'liking' my photo I would be very grateful! Thank you <3

  4. Your photographs are beautifully composed! I don't like to call them resolutions either and find by just admitting what I want to accomplish, it's a lot easier to work towards it! Lovely post and blog, I'm excited to see more!

  5. I adore your photos! You'll have no problem finding work as a photographer. I like the goal of making clothes, I've been meaning to pick up the sewing machine my nan gave me last year for ages! x

  6. Is it weird to like someone's goals? Yours all sound so exciting. I'm hoping to sew some more of my clothes too, and get my room re-decoration to a point I'm happy with. You also reminded me I should probably add driving to my goals as well! I've been on my learner's permit for years now... Good luck with everything! (I voted for you, too.)

  10. Wow Emma, you have so many great goals! I have many similar goals like learning how to drive (and passing!) along with reading lots of books. For blogging, I would love to improve my photography and stray away from plain, white backgrounds since that's what I've gotten used to. If you could do a photography tips post, that would be great! I think you take some great pictures :) I would also like to post more regularly as blogging has become such a fun passion of mine, but it's so tough with school :(

  14. Happy New Year! I have so much in common with your goals! One of my goals is to learn to drive and pass! I'm studying photography at the moment and would love to get some work experience with a photographer! My family have a Austin A35 and we used to go to vintage car shows every year! I would love to know where you purchased your own domain from? I'm thinking about getting one for my blog http://touchofbelle.blogspot.co.uk/ and if they are easy to do!

    1. Thank you Gemma! Hope your driving goes well and you find work experience too! Your family car sounds amazing, I love the vintage Austins! I bought my domain from Namesco- it's not the cheapest available, but my dad has been with them for years and it works well- there are lots of tutorials on how to change to personal domain names and it's fairly simple to do! I personally love having my own domain because now my blog feels more professional and also more 'mine' :)
Hope this helps and happy new year!
